GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

The works, as described, are part of WCDOA Disaster Response Project. The quoted amount will be a lump sum bid and must include labor and equipment. The successful bidder must have the capacity to start with the work within 7 (Seven) days after appointment.

Conditions that may pose a risk: 

The existing pipework which needs to be cut is an asbestos line and the contractor must be very causes when cutting it. The Contractor must put all necessary precautions in place to work under these conditions.

The scope of works will include: 

  1. Construction of an inspection chamber
  2. Supply and installation of two flushing valves

The locations of the farm are as follows: 

Franschhoek – 33°52’31.61″S, 19°04’57.77″E 

In accordance with Casidra’s Preferential Procurement Policy, BEE certified bids will receive preferential scores. 

  • a functionality compliance test;
  • B-BBEE certified bids will receive preferential scores;

The successful bidder will be required to fill in and sign a Service Level Agreement (CBD 8).

BID DEADLINE:  The closing date for the bid is 20 September 2023 strictly at 12H00

SUBMISSION OF RFQ

All RFQ documents to be uploaded onto the Casidra RFQ/Tender portal. No e-mailed or hard copy documents will be accepted.

NOTE TO BIDDERS:

Bidders are required to ensure that electronic bid submissions are done at least a day before the closing date to prevent issues which they may encounter due to their internet speed, bandwidth or the size of number of uploads they are submitting. Please do not wait for the last minute to submit. A bidder can upload 30MB and up to 10 documents per upload and multiple uploads are permitted.
