GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
The works, as described is situated in the Franschhoek district. The quoted amount will be a lump sum bid and must include all the work specified. The successful bidder must have the capacity to start the works within 7 (seven) days after appointment.
The scope of works will include
The work entails the completion of the existing work:
- Supply and construct concrete bases under fencing poles.
- Construct 2.167mm high fence
Conditions that may pose a risk:
Sandy conditions can be expected and shuttering in the excavations will be needed and the Contractor must put all necessary precautions in place to work under these conditions. Security for materials and equipment must be supplied by the Contractor.
In accordance with Casidra’s Preferential Procurement Policy, this bid as further indicated in CBD 5.1 is subject to:
- a functionality compliance test;
- B-BBEE certified bids will receive preferential scores;
The successful bidder will be required to fill in and sign a written Contract Form (CBD 8). Included are a penalty clause of R 550.00/calendar day that apply for late completion of works and a 10% retention fee for 3 months not bearing interest.
The successful bidder will be required to fill in and sign a contract (CBD 8) (APPLICABLE ONLY FOR CONSTRUCTION WORK).
BID DEADLINE: The closing date for the bid is 05 December 2023 strictly at 12H00
SUBMISSION OF RFQ
All RFQ documents to be uploaded onto the Casidra RFQ/Tender portal. No e-mailed or hard copy documents will be accepted.
NOTE TO BIDDERS:
Bidders are required to ensure that electronic bid submissions are done at least a day before the closing date to prevent issues which they may encounter due to their internet speed, bandwidth or the size of number of uploads they are submitting. Please do not wait for the last minute to submit. A bidder can upload 30MB and up to 10 documents per upload and multiple uploads are permitted.
The following documents (including fully completed and signed CBD forms numbered 1 to 5.1 as supplied) must be valid for a period of 90 calendar days after closure of the bid and submitted as a bid packet:
