BID 23/2022 –  WELLINGTON: VERITAS WINES: SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF TWO FARM TRACTORS

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

The works, as described, are part of the Agriculture and Land Reform programme of the Department of Agriculture Western Cape for the Cape Winelands district. Veritas Wines is situated approximately 4km outside Wellington town. The quoted amount will be a lump sum bid and must include supply, registration, and delivery.  

The successful bidder must have the capacity to supply and deliver tractors before 30 September 2022. Detailed brochures (including pictures of the tractors) and quotation of the tractors must accompany this document.

The scope of works will include the supply and delivery of tractors that complies with the following minimum specifications as described below:

1 x 75HP 4 WD Tractor:

• The tractor should be equal approved to a Case JXT 754WD
• 4 Wheel Drive tractor minimum 55kw (75hp)
• 4 cylinder engine
• Fitted with power steering
• The tractor must be equipped with three point linkage control, tow bar and hydraulic system with external connections as well as female trailer plug connector.
• The quotation must include at least one year guarantee on the tractor, registration and the first service of the tractor.
• Indicate a service plan cost for at least one year as optional.
• Must be licenced and registered to Casidra SOC Ltd
• Must be delivered at the project and training conducted.
• 3-point hitch lift capacity of minimum 1900kg;
• PTO (540/1000rpm);
• Equipped with roll bar;
• Dimensions and Weight

• Wheel base 4WD (mm)	– not exceeding 2160
  Shipping weight 4WD rops (kg)	– not exceeding 2575
  Ground clearance under front axle 4WD (mm)	– 410
  Ground clearance under rear axle (mm)	– 555
  Height to the top of exhaust 4WD (mm)	– not exceeding 2385

• Equipped with counter and wheel weights as part of price;
• Tyres must be filled with water;
• Must have a minimum of one year warranty/guarantee;
• Must have registered service centre within 40km of project;
• Parts must be readily available locally;
• include photo or catalogue with specifications

1 x 98HP 4 WD Tractor:

• The tractor should be equal approved to a Case JX 95 4WD
• 4 Wheel Drive tractor minimum 72kw (98hp)
• Fitted with power steering
• The tractor must be equipped with three point linkage control, tow bar and hydraulic system with external connections as well as female trailer plug connector.
• The quotation must include at least one year guarantee on the tractor, registration and the first service of the tractor.
• Indicate a service plan cost for at least one year as optional.
• Must be licenced and registered to Casidra SOC Ltd
• Must be delivered at the project and training conducted.
• 3-point hitch lift capacity of minimum 2650kg;
• PTO (540/1000rpm);
• Equipped with roll bar;
• Dimensions   :

• Overall length (mm)	– not exceeding 4004

• Equipped with counter and wheel weights as part of price;

2. Price Form, Bill of Quantities and Schedules (Form CBD 3.1 (Lump Sum)
3. Scope of Works (Form CBD 4)
4. PPP Evaluation Form (Form CBD 5.1 (80/20)
5. Bank Entity Form (Form CBD 7), unless the banking details of the company indicate “verified” on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
6. Registration on the CSD for all suppliers is compulsory and registration numbers must be supplied.

In accordance with Casidra’s Preferential Procurement Policy, this bid as further indicated in CBD 5.1 is subject to:

• a functionality compliance test;
• B-BBEE certified bids will receive preferential scores;

BID DEADLINE:  The closing date for the request for quote is 25 August 2022 strictly at 12H00.

SUBMISSION OF TENDER

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the name of the bidder and the inscription “WELLINGTON: VERITAS WINES: SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF TWO FARM TRACTORS – BID NO. 23/2022” and placed in the bid box available at Reception of Casidra’s Head Office, 22 Louws Avenue, Southern Paarl.  No faxed, emailed, counter-to-counter courier or posted bids will be accepted.

The following documents (including fully completed and signed CBD forms numbered 1 to 7 as supplied) must be valid for a period of 90 calendar days after closure of the bid and submitted as a bid packet:
