BID NO: 61/2019 DU NOON: SOPHAKAM PRIMARY SCHOOL: SUPPLY AND INSTALL IRRIGATION

The works, as described, is situated in the middle of the Du Noon Township. The quoted amount will be a lump sum bid and must include labour, material and machinery. The successful bidder must have the capacity to start the works within 7 (seven) days of appointment
Conditions that may pose a risk:
This specific area as a very high crime area. The Contractor must put all necessary precautions in place to work under these conditions and to provide his / her own security and for the safekeeping of material and equipment
THE SCOPE OF WORKS:
Connect the existing well point pump with 25mm diameter, class 6, LDPE pipework. Take along the existing wall up to the position shown on drawing and reduce to 20mm diameter pipework and connect 2 x 20mm UPVC valves. From there provide and lay 20mm diameter, class 6, LDPE pipework in the two directions as shown.
Provide and fit 20mm T-pieces and reduce to 15mm, approximately every 4 meters apart and fit (screw on) short lengths of UPVC pipes, 600mm long. Each pipe to be fitted with screw on 360 degree “Rain Bird V.A.N nozzles” or equal and approved. The end of the main pipeline to be blanked off.
Excavate for and lay all pipework at least 200mm underground. Allow for to remove concrete and brick paving at places and to repair on completion. All pipework that is going to be fitted against the wall surfaces must be fixed to the wall with approved holder bats every 350mm centres.
The tenderer can indicate in the CBD 3,1 (Changes for bidders) if any changes are proposed in scope of works as well as what the cost implication for the changes might be.

In accordance with Casidra’s Preferential Procurement Policy, this bid as further indicated in CBD 5.1 is subject to:
- a functionality compliance test;
- B-BBEE certified bids will receive preferential scores;
BID DEADLINE: The closing date for the bid is 18 July 2019 strictly at 12H00.
The following documents (including fully completed and signed CBD forms numbered 1 to 7 as supplied) must be valid for a period of 60 calendar days after closure of the bid and submitted as a bid packet:
- A completed project bid to supply and installation of an irrigation system with all supplied CBD forms fully completed and signed.
- A certified copy of the company’s BEE Certificate / original Sworn Affidavit (please see CBD 5.1 which is applicable). Tax Clearance is compulsory and must be indicated as compliant on CSD for the principle and all sub-contractors.
- Completed and signed PPP (CBD 5.1) form.
- Registration on the CSD is compulsory and CSD Supplier Registration numbers must be supplied.
- Fully completed, stamped and signed Bank Entity Form (Form CBD 7), unless the company banking information indicate “verified” on the CSD
