BID NO: 80/2019 HERMANUS: TESSELAARSDAL WINES: SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF WINE SQUARE PORTABLE TANK

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
The works, as described, are part of the Agriculture and Land Reform programme of the Department of Agriculture Western Cape for the Overberg district. Tesselaarsdal Wines is situated 10km outside Hermanus. The quoted amount will be a lump sum bid and must include manufacture, supply, and delivery. The successful bidder must have the capacity to deliver the items within 3 months from appointment date.
The scope of works will include;
To manufacture, supply, and delivery of 1 x 1000 litre square forklift able storage tank with the following specification;
- Dimensions: 1219 x 1066 x 750mm high
- The tank should have conical top and bottom dome, mounted vertically on boxed stainless steel legs.
- The following fittings should be installed on the tank:
- 400mm top manlid
- Racking valve NW50 butterfly
- Total discharge valve NW50 butterfly
- Dimple cooling jacket system covering 50% of the shell area
- The tank should be manufactured using the following material;
- Bottom – 304 stainless steel
- Shell – 304 stainless steel
- Top – 316 stainless steel
- The stainless steel shall have a 2B finish internally and shall have welds pickled, passivated and strip polished to 180 grit externally.
- The leg finish should be ring polished with welds pickled and passivated.

In accordance with Casidra’s Preferential Procurement Policy, this bid as further indicated in CBD 5.1 is subject to:
- a functionality compliance test;
- B-BBEE certified bids will receive preferential scores;
- Local production and content
This bid include goods from a designated sector; steel products and only locally produced goods, or locally manufactured goods with a stipulated minimum threshold for local production and content will be considered. SBD 6.2 and Annex C, D and E documentation apply and must be completed and handed in with this bid.
BID DEADLINE: The closing date for the bid is 24 July 2019 strictly at 12H00.
Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the name of the bidder and the inscription “SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF WINE SQUARE PORTABLE TANK – BID NO: 80/2019 ” and placed in the bid box available at Reception of Casidra’s Head Office, 22 Louws Avenue, Southern Paarl. No faxed, counter-to-counter courier, email or posted bids will be accepted.
The following documents (including fully completed and signed CBD forms numbered 1 to 7 as supplied) must be valid for a period of 60 calendar days after closure of the bid and submitted as a bid packet:
- A completed project bid to supply and delivery of wine square portable tank with all supplied CBD forms fully completed and signed.
- A certified copy of the company’s BEE Certificate / original Sworn Affidavit (please see CBD 5.1 which is applicable). Tax Clearance is compulsory and must be indicated as compliant on CSD for the principle and all sub-contractors.
- Completed and signed PPP (CBD 5.1) form.
- Registration on the CSD is compulsory and CSD Supplier Registration numbers must be supplied.
- Fully completed, stamped and signed Bank Entity Form (Form CBD 7), unless the company banking information indicate “verified” on the CSD
- Fully completed and signed local content forms (Compulsory)
- Signed document detailing the guarantee/warranty that the bidding company will offer for the tank (Compulsory)
- Detailed Company CV or profile ( Compulsory)
List of valid/contactable references and/or reference letters for previous clients (Compulsory)
