Re-advertisement BID NO: 01/2022 – WORCESTER: TRUEVINE GRAPESEED PRODUCTS: SUPPLY AND INSTALL A NEW BAG FILLING MACHINE

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
The works as described is required on location, situated approximately 3 kilometres outside Worcester towards De Doorns. The quoted amount will be a lump sum bid and must include labour and machinery.
The scope of works will include:
Provide, deliver and install a new bag filling machine as per model number “BFB-CFFW from the company called Flexicon” or equal and approved.
The product contact surfaces will be type of type 304 stainless steel. The stainless steel contact areas shall be continuously welded with welds grind and polished to a 150 grit finish.
The Bag filling machine shall be manufactured with the following elements (See Sketch A included in bid document);
- Basic bulk bag filling station
- Includes static bulk bag strap hooks with hinged strap retainers
- Exterior of non-material contact areas shall be either carbon steel with standard with an approved primer, undercoat and final coat of high gloss enamel paint.
- Adjustable in height through the use of a fork truck to accommodate bulk bags ranging from 965mm to 1850mm high when full
- Designed for 1800kg capacity bulk bag maximum
- Accommodates maximum pallet size of 1100mm x 1200mm
- Includes inflatable inlet seal designed to interface with 350mm to 550mm diameter x 450mm long
- Minimum bulk bag inlet spout
- With air displacement vent and filter sock
- Operator toggle switch with inflate/deflate positions, with regulator to prevent over-inflating
- Requires 4-5.5 bar air supply
- 3-Phase electrical motor to be enclosed
- 2x Screw Conveyor 3m 45° 125s without starter
- 2x Screw Conveyor 1.5 kW DOL starter bundle
- 2x Screw Conveyor 1m down chute with 45° segment, 120mm dia
- 2x Screw Conveyor straight down chute
- 2x Single 45° Screw Conveyor magnet
- 2x Screw Conveyor inlet hopper.

BID DEADLINE: The closing date for the bid is 19 September 2022 strictly at 12H00.
SUBMISSION OF BIDS
Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the name of the bidder and the inscription “SUPPLY AND INSTALL A NEW BAG FILLING MACHINE – BID NO. 1/2022” and placed in the bid box available at Reception of Casidra’s Head Office, 22 Louws Avenue, Southern Paarl. No faxed, emailed, counter-to-counter courier or posted bids will be accepted.
The following documents (including fully completed and signed CBD forms numbered 1 to 7 as supplied) must be valid for a period of 60 calendar days after closure of the bid and submitted as a bid packet:
