SUPERVISORY / MANAGEMENT COURSE FOR AGRI WORKERS

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
The Western Cape Department of Agriculture requires the services of a training provider to conduct Supervisory or Management courses to Agri workers in the Cape Winelands (Hex Valley) and West Coast districts (Vaalwater / Trawal).
BACKGROUND
Rural communities, especially Agri workers are regarded as a vulnerable group. The first cycle of the Agri Worker Household Census indicated a need for supervisory / management skills amongst Agri Workers. The census also indicated a lack of supervisory / management skills under agri workers in all commodities.
The scope of works will include:
The Service Provider must:
- Submit a complete proposal / implementation plan – inclusive of the course outline, proposed dates, administration and all costs.
- Submit a price breakdown / quote.
- The facilitator will be expected to arrange the venue and provide refreshments otherwise stipulate in their proposal that agri workers provide their own refreshments.
- Training to be provided to 10 agri workers in the Hex Valley region and 10 workers in the Vaalwater or Trawal areas.
- The duration of the course/s to be between 3 to 4 days.
- Have experience of 3 years and be able to provide the required training within the required time frames in the specified location.
- Provide a CV of the personnel who will be providing the training.
- The facilitator to be bilingual in Afrikaans and English and be based in the Western Cape.
- Co-operate with the WCDoA project leader assigned to the project, in terms of the recruitment, the implementation of the course, etc.
- Complete the training course by the end of June 2019.
- Provide a report within 7 days of the completion of the course.

In accordance with Casidra’s Preferential Procurement Policy, this bid as further indicated in CBD 5.1 is subject to:
- a functionality compliance test;
- B-BBEE certified bids will receive preferential scores;
BID DEADLINE: The closing date for the bid is 14 June 2019 strictly at 12H00.

The following documents (including fully completed and signed CBD forms numbered 1 to 7 as supplied) must be valid for a period of 60 calendar days after closure of the bid and submitted as a bid packet:
- A completed project bid to conduct tractor driving training with all supplied CBD forms fully completed and signed.
- A certified copy of the company’s BEE Certificate / original Sworn Affidavit (please see CBD 5.1 which is applicable). Tax Clearance is compulsory and must be indicated as compliant on CSD for the principle and all sub-contractors.
- Completed and signed PPP (CBD 5.1) form.
- Registration on the CSD is compulsory and CSD Supplier Registration numbers must be supplied.
- Fully completed, stamped and signed Bank Entity Form (Form CBD 7), unless the company banking information indicate “verified” on the CSD
