GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

The scope of works is described on document CPBD 4 and will include:

  • Communicate and arrange for access with affected farmers and local Western Cape Department of Agriculture (WCDoA) officials.
  • Survey the problem area of approximately 1 km2 using an appropriate GPS.
  • Do the necessary run-off calculation and design for a 1:50 year flood event.
  • Design an economic and environmentally sensitive solution – different options need to be communicated and offered to affected farmers and WCDoA officials.
  • Write a design report, including a costing for the implementation of this solution (after approval by affected farmers and WCDoA officials.)
  • Provide detailed plans for construction of the chosen solution.

In accordance with Casidra’s Preferential Procurement Policy, this bid as further indicated in CBD 5.1 is subject to:

  • a functionality compliance test;
  • B-BBEE certified bids will receive preferential scores;

The successful bidder will be required to fill in and sign a written Contract Form (CBD 8).

RFQ DEADLINE:  The closing date for the request for quote is 08 June 2023 strictly at 12H00.

SUBMISSION OF RFQ

All RFQ documents to be uploaded onto the Casidra RFQ/Tender portal. No e-mailed or hard copy documents will be accepted (excluding BEE status).

NOTE TO BIDDERS:
