RFQ: BEAUFORT WEST: MIDDELPLAAS-EXTENSION TO THE EXISTING SHEARING SHED

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
The works, as described, are part of the Agriculture and Land Reform programme of the Department of Agriculture Western Cape for the Central Karoo district. Middelplaas (Robbenson Family Trust) is situated, outside Beaufort West. On the gravel road on your way to Rietbron. The quoted amount will be a lump sum bid and must include supply, delivery and installation. The successful bidder must have the capacity to start work within TEN (10) days after appointment and complete works within (thirty) 30 days.
- The scope of works will include Supply, delivery and construction of Extension to the Existing Shearing Shed as per CBD 4 and drawings (Scope of works)
Conditions that may pose a risk: (Summary of Risk analysis)
- Staff can slip over loose items;
- Exposure to elements (sun, cold and dusty conditions);
- Injuries due to the wrong usage of tools;
- Back injuries due to lifting heavy objects and digging trenches.
- Contractor must be experienced and knowledgeable for the task and must put all necessary precautions in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act). The Contractor must put all necessary precautions in place to work under these conditions and prepare the site with the correct falls.
In accordance with Casidra’s Preferential Procurement Policy, this bid as further indicated in CBD 5.1 is subject to:
- a functionality compliance test;
- B-BBEE certified bids will receive preferential scores;
The successful bidder will be required to fill in and sign a Service Level Agreement (CBD 8).

SUBMISSION OF RFQ
All RFQ documents to be uploaded onto the Casidra RFQ/Tender portal. No e-mailed or hard copy documents will be accepted.
NOTE TO BIDDERS:
