PURPOSE / PROBLEM STATEMENT

RATIONALE 

A viability study is needed to:

  1. Determine if it will be financially viable and logistically feasible for this business to erect their own tea court, as opposed to them utilizing as already existing one in a nearby area, and establishing an agreement with that business;
  2. Establish financial and business viability of the project.

PROJECT SCOPE / DELIVERABLES 

The service provider is expected to deliver the following key deliverables and tasks:

A viability report in MS Word format;

  • Establish the financial viability of 50 sheep on the farm;
  • The project risk matrix must be incorporated into the report;
  • Accounting ratios to be used in the interpretation of the results;
  • An excel report with the following:
    1. Profit and loss statement and projected cash flow statements
    2. A list of all the assumptions made for the calculations
    3. The formulas should be inserted in the excel spreadsheet
  • The report should cover all elements of a viability study

EXPERTISE REQUIRED 

The Service Provider must be an experienced Agricultural Economist/Agribusiness practitioner.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS PERTAINING TO QUOTE SUBMISSION 

  • A Gantt chart should be submitted with the quotation indicating the estimated duration of this assignment. 

In accordance with Casidra’s Preferential Procurement Policy, this bid as further indicated in CPBD 5.1 is subject to: 

The successful bidder will be required to fill in and sign a Service Level Agreement (CPBD 8)

BID DEADLINE:  The closing date for the bid is 18 August 2023 strictly at 12H00.

SUBMISSION OF BIDS 

RFQ documents are to be uploaded on the website from which they were downloaded. No faxed, counter-to-counter or posted bids will be accepted.

The following documents (including fully completed and signed CPBD forms numbered 1 to 5.1 as supplied) must be valid for a period of 90 calendar days after closure of the bid and submitted as a bid packet:
