GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

The works, as described, Ltd is situated approximately 3km outside Ceres. The quoted amount will be a lump sum bid and must include supply and installation of the material needed for the works. The successful bidder must have the capacity to start the works within 7 (seven) days of appointment and complete the work within 30 (thirty) days.

Conditions that may pose a risk:

This specific area is a very high crime area. The Contractor must put all necessary precautions in place to work under these conditions and to provide his / her own security and for the safekeeping of material and equipment

The scope of works will include:

  1. Repairs to the existing pumphouse
  2. Electrical works
  3. Provide and install new security fencing

 In accordance with Casidra’s Preferential Procurement Policy, this bid as further indicated in CBD 5.1is subject to:

  • a functionality compliance test;
  • B-BBEE certified bids will receive preferential scores;
  • Potential subcontracting as a condition of tender;

The successful bidder will be required to fill in and sign a written Contract Form (CBD 8). Included are a penalty clause of R 500.00/calendar day that apply for late completion of works and a 10% retention fee for 3 months not bearing interest.

RFQ DEADLINE:  The closing date for the request for quote is 13 September 2023 strictly at 12H00.

SUBMISSION OF RFQ

All RFQ documents to be uploaded onto the Casidra RFQ/Tender portal. No e-mailed or hard copy documents will be accepted.

NOTE TO BIDDERS:

Bidders are required to ensure that electronic bid submissions are done at least a day before the closing date to prevent issues which they may encounter due to their internet speed, bandwidth or the size of/ or number of uploads they are submitting. Please do not wait for the last minute to submit. A bidder can upload 30MB and up to 10 documents per upload and multiple uploads are permitted.
