RFQ AP1843 – PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

HEALTH & SAFETY CONTROL OFFICER, BAVIAANS RIVER PHASE 2 CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

The works, as described, is part of the Disaster Management Programme for the Baviaans River situated in Genadendal, Western Cape.

The scope of works entails the construction of 11 (eleven) gabion structures (groynes) in the Baviaans River over an approximate distance of 1 km. The works must be completed within a 5-month contract period.

Conditions that may pose a risk: (Summary of Risk analysis)

Flood conditions may arise in the river. Sandy ground conditions can be expected, the construction site is situated in a riparian zone.

The scope of works will include:

We therefore hereby request you/your firm to provide us with a quotation for the following:

  1. Approval of Contractor’s H&S plan.
  2. Monthly inspections of the works with reports to Engineer.
  3. Supervision and monitoring of the appointed contractor to successful completion regarding H&S concerns.
  4. The attendance of a compulsory monthly site meeting.
  5. One close-out meeting will also be held.
  6. Allow for 6 meetings.

In accordance with Casidra’s Preferential Procurement Policy, this bid as further indicated in CBD 5.1 is subject to:

  • a functionality compliance test;
  • B-BBEE certified bids will receive preferential scores;

BID DEADLINE:  The closing date for the bid is 14 DECEMBER 2023 strictly at 12H00.

SUBMISSION OF BIDS

All RFQ documents to be uploaded onto the Casidra RFQ/Tender portal. No e-mailed or hard copy documents will be accepted.

NOTE TO BIDDERS:
