GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

The works, as described, are part of the CASP White Meat programme for chicken farmers situated in Hopefield. The quoted amount will be a lump sum bid and must include labour and equipment. The successful bidder must have the capacity to start with the work within 7 (Seven) days after appointment.

The scope of works will include:

Three farms (Madz Trading, Kauthars Broiler Chickens and New Beginnings) all require solar infrastructure for the purpose of protecting their chicken farms against power outages caused by loadshedding. The purpose of the electrical analysis is to measure and assess the demand, and write a proposal for a solar solution to allow these chicken houses to operate seamlessly through Stage 8 of loadshedding. The report is to include a cost estimate of the proposed solution.

The locations of the three farms are as follows: 

Madz Trading (two chicken houses of approximately 160m2 each): 33°03’13.1″S, 18°19’40.3″E

Kauthars Broiler Chickens (two chicken houses of approximately 160m2 each): 33°03’16.7″S, 18°19’37.7″E

New Beginnings (two chicken houses of approximately 160m2 each): 33°01’27.1″S, 18°17’28.3″E

In accordance with Casidra’s Preferential Procurement Policy, BEE certified bids will receive preferential scores.

The successful bidder will be required to fill in and sign a Service Level Agreement (CPBD 8).

BID DEADLINE:  The closing date for the bid is 16 August 2023 strictly at 12H00.

SUBMISSION OF RFQ

All RFQ documents to be uploaded onto the Casidra RFQ/Tender portal. No e-mailed or hard copy documents will be accepted.

NOTE TO BIDDERS:

Bidders are required to ensure that electronic bid submissions are done at least a day before the closing date to prevent issues which they may encounter due to their internet speed, bandwidth or the size of number of uploads they are submitting. Please do not wait for the last minute to submit. A bidder can upload 30MB and up to 10 documents per upload and multiple uploads are permitted.
