GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
The works, as described, is required on a farm in Hopefield, West Coast Municipality. The quoted amount will be a lump sum bid and must include equipment, labor and tools to execute the work. The successful bidder must have the capacity to start the works within 7 (seven) days of appointment.
Conditions that may pose a risk: (Summary of Risk analysis)
The risks normally associated with the design and installation of irrigation systems are applicable. Expect rocky geotechnical conditions. Security for materials and equipment must be supplied to ensure the safekeeping of the irrigation equipment on site. The Contractor must put all necessary precautions in place to work under these conditions.
The scope of works will include:
- Design, supply, delivery and installation of a borehole pump (0.75 kW), and solar panels with inverter and battery to support the borehole pump, a chest freezer (50 W), eight LED lights (10 W each) and booster pump (2.25 kW). The price should include all amounts for the wiring, as well as the mounting structure required for the solar panels.

- Price Form, Bill of Quantities and Schedules (Form CBD 3.1 (Lump Sum))
- Scope of Works (Form CBD 4)
- PPP Evaluation Form (Form CBD 5.1 (80/20)
- Bank Entity Form (Form CBD 7), unless the banking details of the company indicate “verified” on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
- Registration on the CSD for all suppliers is compulsory and registration numbers must be supplied.
In accordance with Casidra’s Preferential Procurement Policy, this bid as further indicated in CBD 5.1 is subject to:
- a functionality compliance test;
- B-BBEE certified bids will receive preferential scores;
The successful bidder will be required to fill in and sign a written Contract Form (CBD 8). Included are a penalty clause of R 550.00/calendar day that apply for late completion of works and a 10% retention fee for 3 months not bearing interest.
BID DEADLINE: The closing date for the bid is 26 April 2023 strictly at 12H00.

All RFQ documents to be uploaded back onto the Casidra RFQ/Tender portal in PDF Format. No e-mailed or hard copy documents will be accepted
