GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

The works, as described, are part of the Agriculture and Land Reform programme of the Department of Agriculture Western Cape for supply and delivery of a Baler. Shera farm Pty Ltd is situated approximately 150km North of Cape Town and 24km from Vredenburg.

The quoted amount will be a lump sum bid and must include supply and delivery of a Baler.  The successful bidder must have the capacity to deliver the equipment within 21 (twenty-one) days after appointment.

The scope of works will include:

Baler specifications:

  • Similar- or equal to Cicoria 2749s
  • Minimum HP required – 45
  • Chamber size – 37 x 49cm
  • Bale length – 40 x 130cm
  • Bale weight – 25 x 50kg
  • Knotters -2 twine
  • Pick up width- 1.6m
  • No of tine bars – 4
  • No of tines – 64
  • Cubic meter feed opening -1,85m3
  • The Baler must be trailered and include the following attachments wide angle cardan shaft, towing eye, hydraulic pick-up lift and pick up side wheel.

General:

  • The quotation must include at least one-year warranty.
  • Must have a service centre within 100km of project.
  • Parts must be readily available locally.
  • The Baler must be delivered at the project and training conducted.

In accordance with Casidra’s Preferential Procurement Policy, BEE certified bids will receive preferential scores.

RFQ DEADLINE:  The closing date for the request for quote is 15 September 2023 strictly at 12H00.

SUBMISSION OF RFQ

All RFQ documents to be uploaded onto the Casidra RFQ/Tender portal. No e-mailed or hard copy documents will be accepted.

The following documents (including fully completed and signed CBD forms numbered 1 to 5.1 as supplied) must be valid for a period of 60 calendar days after closure of the bid and submitted as a bid packet:
