RFQ: SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF OYSTER SEEDS

REQUEST FOR QUOTATION – AQUAFOODS: SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF OYSTER SEEDS, SALDANHA

This document is not for sale. Any entity that requests payment must be reported at the contact person indicated in this tender.

A service provider with proven knowledge and expertise in aquaculture is required to supply and deliver oyster seeds to Aquafoods in Saldanha.

Conditions that may pose a risk: (Summary of Risk analysis)

The contractor is to put all the necessary precautions in place to deliver the oyster seeds timeously and in good quality.  

The scope of works will include:

1. Supply and Delivery of 1.1 million 10-12 mm oyster seeds to Aquafoods SA.

Documents for the purpose of this request for quotation include:

1. Price Form, Bill of Quantities and Schedules (Form CBD 3.1 (Lump Sum))
2. Scope of Works (Form CBD 4)
3. PPP Evaluation Form (Form CBD 5.1 (80/20))
4. Local Content Declaration Form (SBD 6.2)
5. Registration on the CSD for all suppliers is compulsory and registration numbers must be supplied.

In accordance with Casidra’s Preferential Procurement Policy, this bid as further indicated in CBD 5.1 is subject to:

• a functionality compliance test;
• B-BBEE certified bids will receive preferential scores;

The successful bidder will be required to fill in and sign a written Contract Form (CBD 8). Included are a penalty clause of R 500/calendar day that apply for late completion of works and a 10% retention fee for 3 months not bearing interest.

BID DEADLINE:  The closing date for the bid is 26 April 2022 strictly at 12H00.

SUBMISSION OF BIDS

RFQ documents must only be e-mailed, and the process below must be followed:

• Bids to be e-mailed in PDF format.
• Bids to be e-mailed to the following e-mail address: mpienaar@casidra.co.za
• Bidders to note that the maximum size of our mailbox is 6 MB.
• Casidra will not be responsible for bidder’s internet connection, problems with e-mails, etc.
• This bid has a specific closing date and time. Any submissions that reach our mailbox after this time will be considered as late, regardless of the time it was sent. Therefore, please submit bids timeously.
• Bids must be e-mailed with the following heading: “AQUAFOODS: SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF OYSTER SEEDS, SALDANHA”.

No faxed, counter-to-counter or posted bids will be accepted. No late bid documents will be considered.

The following documents (including fully completed and signed CBD forms numbered 1,3,4 and 5 as supplied) must be valid for a period of 90 calendar days after closure of the bid and submitted as a bid packet:
