RFQ – WELLINGTON: EIKEDAL INDIGENOUS FARMING: SUPPLY, DELIVERY & ASSEMBLY OF FARMING EQUIPMENT

This document is not for sale. Any entity that requests payment must be reported at the contact person indicated in this tender.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

The works, as described, is required on a farm in Wellington, Cape Winelands District Municipality. The quoted amount will be a lump sum bid and must include supply, delivery and assembly.  The successful bidder must have the capacity to start the works within 7 (seven) days of appointment.

Equipment must be delivered to Farm 1249 Eikedal Estate, situated in Wellington, Western Cape.

Conditions that may pose a risk: (Summary of Risk analysis)

There are few risks relating to this task. It is expected that the machinery be supplied, transported and assembled cautiously and timeously to the designated client, without posing any threat to the physical integrity of the machinery. The supplier must put all necessary precautions in place to work under these conditions.

The scope of works will include:

  • Supply, delivery and assembly of a Landini Solis Tractor (or similar)
  • Supply, delivery and assembly of a 3ton Tipper Trailer
  • Supply, delivery and assembly of an S-Tine Tiller (or similar)
  • Supply, delivery and assembly of an Agrose Mounted Field-Sprayer (or similar)
  • Supply, delivery and assembly of a Mounted Offset Disc Harrow
  • Price to include transportation, installation and accommodation costs.
  • At least 1 year (12 months) Warranty
  • 3 months after-sale service plan
  • Supplier must verify the design specifications as given here.

  1. Conditions to Submit Bid (Form CBD 2.1 (Lump Sum / Measured)) or Standard Conditions of Contract can be viewed on the Casidra website at www.casidra.co.za.
  2. Price Form, Bill of Quantities and Schedules (Form CBD 3.1 (Lump Sum/Measured))
  3. Scope of Works (Form CBD 4)
  4. PPP Evaluation Form (Form CBD 5.1 (80/20) / 5.2 (90/10))
  5. Bank Entity Form (Form CBD 7), unless the banking details of the company indicate “verified” on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
  6. Registration on the CSD for all suppliers is compulsory and registration numbers must be supplied.

In accordance with Casidra’s Preferential Procurement Policy, this bid as further indicated in CBD 5.1/5.2 is subject to:

  • A functionality compliance test;
  • B-BBEE certified bids will receive preferential scores;

The successful bidder will be required to fill in and sign a written Contract Form (CBD 8). Included are a penalty clause of R 500.00/calendar day that apply for late completion of works and a 10% retention fee for 3 months not bearing interest.

BID DEADLINE:  The closing date for the bid is 3 March 2023 strictly at 12H00.

All RFQ documents to be uploaded onto the Casidra RFQ/Tender portal. No e-mailed or hard copy documents will be accepted.

NOTE TO BIDDERS:

Bidders are required to ensure that electronic bid submissions are done at least a day before the closing date to prevent issues which they may encounter due to their internet speed, bandwidth or the size of number of uploads they are submitting.
